A large container ship remains stuck in Egypt's Suez Canal, blocking other vessels from moving in both directions and sparking a traffic jam in Suez canal.
MV EVER GIVEN had been grounded in the entrance of the channel of Suez Canal on 23.03.2021 at 7:30 Hours LT (in 151 KM of SC) and all movement is stopped till further notice.
The container ship belong to evergreen line name " Ever Given " grounded at the 151-kilometer (94-mile) of the canal on Tuesday morning. The container ship ran aground when it was approximately 6 nautical miles from the southern end of the estuary.

Please note regarding 23rd March NB convoy, only 7 vessels at the early convoy have been cleared the canal. The normal convoy was containing 20 vessels; 4 vessels have cleared the canal while EVER Given was the 5th one suspended to leave behind 15 vessels waiting between the canal entrance and Suez anchorage area.
For 24th March NB convoy, please note that 27 Vessels are waiting to transit the Canal.
For 23rd March SB convoy, all the vessels have been cleared the Canal.
For 24th March SB convoy, it has been started at 09:00 Hours LT as SC Authority has decided to let 13 vessels to enter the Canal while they are dropping anchors in the Greater Bitter Lakes until the situation solve.
Suez Canal Authority’s Chairman, Admiral Osama Rabei confirmed that the rescue and tug units (8/9 units) are working on refloating the giant containership, this has been stated during the Admiral’s following-up the rescue work in the site itself. The Admiral assured that SCA does not save any efforts to guarantee the world’s navigation regularity and to serve the best interests of the world’s trade.
